About The Center For Family

Our Mission

We strengthen families by providing education, prevention, and early intervention for:
  • Substance use counseling and therapy
  • Emotional, mental health and wellbeing counseling
  • Conflict resolution and healing
  • Navigating the teen years, or parent resources

Our Vision

Empowering families across Larimer County to create positive, lifelong change.

About The Center For Family Outreach

The Center for Family Outreach was established in December of 2000 as a non-profit organization offering prevention, education and early intervention services for youth ages 11 to 18 and their families.  We strive to restore hope and provide opportunities as we strengthen and inspire the youth of Larimer County and their families.

Our specialties include one-on-one case management, mediation and early intervention strategies.

Our educational programs are intended for youth and families struggling with substance abuse, mental health issues, extreme family conflict and high risk adolescent behavior.

Our classes have a focus on life skills development, drug and alcohol education, building self-esteem, addressing issues surrounding social media use, communication skills, and gender-identity classes for young women. We also offer individual and family therapy, art enrichment, wellbeing and workshops designed to help parents and grandparents develop the necessary skills to establish healthy communication within their families.

Since the beginning, we have served approximately 13,000 students and families struggling with issues like sobriety, homelessness, anger, out-of-control behavior and diminished life skills pertaining to recovery.

Our referrals most often come from families, churches, schools, business partners, other non-profit organizations and the legal system.

Programs at The Center are unique, strength-based initiatives that build on abilities and attributes already exhibited by youth and their families. Gender-specific classes at The Center focus on developing strong techniques for sound decision making that will help both young men and women make the best of their particular situation. Our youth will build positive relationships and develop confidence and coping skills.

At The Center, we understand that when families are engaged and equipped with the necessary tools, greater inter-agency communication and community collaboration is possible. Year after year, the quality of treatment improves and the outcomes for our families remain positive.

The Center’s vision is to continue empowering families across Larimer County to create positive, lifelong change. Together, we as a community make a difference in the lives of youth and families.
